A.F. VANDEVORST – PARIS F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW
Design duo behind A.F. Vandevorst, An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx, have long been inspired by German artist Joseph Beuys, but it was not until their Fall 2012 collection that they wondered what Beuy’s female companion might look like. This led them to Pina Bausch, who inspired this collection’s mix of masculine dressing and bias-cut silks. The look was loose and flowing, predominately in black, with faces totally obscured by wide-brimmed Stephen Jones fedoras.
