On April 13th, in the wee hours of the morning, Alexander Wang dropped a massive announcement via his Instagram page: a collaboration with H&M. As the first American designer to partner with H&M, Wang kept things in American tradition by also announcing his news at Coachella. The designer’s line will boast accessories and apparel for men and women in over 250 H&M locations – a huge boost for his already massive resume. In a statement, Wang says, “I am honored to be a part of H&M’s designer collaborations. The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to push boundaries and to set a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle.” After the craziness that ensued during the Isabel Marant for H&M collection last year, we won’t be surprised if consumers begin camping outside of stores for weeks ahead of the release!
