Sunday night was nothing short of dexterity, with some of the biggest names in the music industry gathering to peacock their signature styles. The Untitled Magazine had an eye on the red carpet, on the look out for the most favored fashion trends of the night. Many of the stars kept it minimalistic and au courant, while the top three AMA fashion trends were undeniably metallics, dramatic blacks and winter whites. From left to right, we break it down at the AMAs…
1) Talk about a little black dress, Naya Rivera flaunted her best assets in a halter neck Michael Kors gown. Audrey O’Day should’ve taken a memo from the sultry star. 2) ‘Stay’ crooner and AMAS performer, Rihanna deserved the first AMAS first-ever Icon Award, beaming in a Jean Paul Gaultier Couture ensemble. 3) Ciara showed off her new bob do’ with a strategically-embroidered piece from J Mendel, detailed with just enough lace to protect her modesty. 4) Katy Perry kept up her Americana beauty queen image in a polka dot Oscar de la Renta gown and tender cosmetics.
1) The mini Kardashians glowed in monochrome-corresponding ensembles; Kendall Jenner kept up her model credentials in a super-chic, white Keepsake asymmetrical cutout number with a Jimmy Choo clutch, while Kylie flashed her new bangs in straightforward pointy-toe mesh booties and an effortless Maiyet & Giambattista Valli black-and-white getup. 2) Of course everyone expected Miley Cyrus in a short hemline, skin-baring outfit but the controversial star rocked an astonishing, subtle Versus Versace suit with a relatively natural palette. Cyrus left her semi-birthday suit for the stage when she performed next to a towering lip-syncing cat in high-cut bikini attire for her ‘Wrecking Ball’ performance. 3) Christina Aguilera flaunted her new svelte figure in a Maria Lucia Hohan cutout gown. 4) Gorgeous, ever-flattering Nicole Richie donned a cutout Emilio Pucci gown and a House of Harlow clutch. This year’s white composition articles made quite the statement on the red carpet.
1) Jennifer Lopez reminded us that age is nothing but a number, making no less than three winged outfit changes in her onstage homage to late Cuban salsa dancer, Celia Cruz. Lopez sealed up the night in dazzling sheer Zuhair Murad Couture, sequined in gold. 2) Kelly Osbourne left a lot to the imagination as she covered up in a silver Rami Al Ali article with a humble blunt up-do. 3) Fashion Police’s Giuliana Rancic wore a Three Floor luxe lace cream dress, proving her worth as a style critic. 4) Golden gal Taylor Swift opted for a mini metallic Julien Macdonald dress and strappy Jimmy Choo heels. 5) Ariana Grande, who took home New Artist of the Year, worked a red sequined number from Dolce & Gabbana.
