Feria de Madrid is proud to present Arco 2013, an art convention taking place in the Spanish capital from February 13th to the 17th. Arco is a collection of selected paintings, sculpture, installations, video, photo, new media, drawings and prints that range from historial avant-garde through contemporary classics.
Arco 2013 features artists that hail from around 27 countries, 146 galleries, and incorporates a curated program with the Embassy of Turkey in Spain, a focus on Latin American art, Solo Objects – a large scale artwork proposition -, and a project called Young Galleries, giving a chance to spaces that have recently opened.
This year also brings the launch of ARCO Collect Online, a virtual sales platform that will make about 1,000 works, priced up to from the Arco participating galleries. The online collective will also have a physical space for the duration of the art fair.
Discussion panels and art blogger forums will also take place during Arco 2013.
