LOS ANGELES, CA – OCTOBER 8, 2013 – Cage The Elephant‘s highly anticipated and already acclaimed new album, Melophobia, was released today on RCA Records. The band will return to The Late Show with David Letterman this Friday, October 11th and perform the album’s first single “Come A Little Closer” from Melophobia.
“Come A Little Closer,” which debuted at #1 on Hype Machine, is currently #6 on the Mediabase Alternative Chart. Melophobia is the follow up to 2011’s acclaimed sophomore album Thank You Happy Birthday, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and has sold over 250,000 copies to date. The album also spawned the hit single “Shake Me Down” which spent six weeks at #1 at Alternative radio.
