Coney Island of the Mind (2:59) , a fashion film juxtaposing the raw spirit of Coney Island with the glamour of the beauty, was directed by Jordan Doner. Edited by David Garvey with an XXXX remix by Elisabeth Jones. The fashion editor was Jules Wood. This piece starred models Inessa Bakutova, Clementine Stevens, Jatya Polyaeva, Yulia Vasiltsova, Klara Urbanova and Anita Hodis with an original soundtrack created by Rama Kolesnikow.

JORDAN DONER

Jordan Doner is a New York City based artist and photographer. His fashion work has appeared on the covers of international editions of Vogue, Bazaar, L’Official, and in the pages of Interview, Wallpaper, V, Visionaire, Jalouse, GQ, the Wall Street Journal and other titles. Jordan’s first portrait job was shooting painter Peter Halley for Vogue Italia.  His early portraiture includes American cultural icon Timothy Leary, poet Alan Ginsburg, and modernist architect Morris Lapidus.  Jordan has photographed pop stars Lil’ Kim, Foxy Brown, the Brazillian Girls, the Kills, Rob Zombie, designers Dominico Dolce & Stefano Gabana, Hollywood darlings China Chow, Bijou Phillips, Elodie Bouchez, and Gerald Butler.

His conceptual photography has been featured in the Arts section of the New York Times, exhibited at the P.S. 1 Museum, Miami Art Basel, and auctioned at Christies.  His cultural criticism has been published by Thadeaus Ropec Gallery in Paris. His design work has been featured at the Whitney Museum Store, and is part of the permanent collection of the Cooper Hewitt Museum, the MET Costume Institute, and the Louvre. Jordan has a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Michigan, and has studied photography at the I.C.P., digital media at Parsons, and Film & Video production at NYU’s Tisch Film Institute.

DAVID GARVEY

David has been a commercial photographer for over thirty years. He has been doing video and editing since the early Nineties. His body of work focuses mainly around doing commercial spots and music videos. Some of his video clients include Wolverine, Caterpillar, Ross Bicycles, Vantrix, and Chopard. Chopard sponsers the Elton John dinner at the Academy Awards. David was the creative force behind their spots shown at the dinner.

JULES WOOD

Jules Wood graduated from the University of Westminster with a degree in Design & Media studies. While attending university she honed her flair for fashion by working with Lee Bowery and Minty at the Institute of Contemporary Arts.

Soon after, her desire to travel led her to Tokyo, Japan where she worked, alongside Japanese Pop Stars Hikaru Utada, Fay Ray, and poets Chris Mosdell. Leaving Tokyo and having acquired a fluency in Japanese she returned to London to assist Vivienne Westwood and Yohji Yamamoto in their London boutiques. Thus, during this time she dressed celebrities such as Sir Eton John, Wendy James, and Neil Tennant from the Pet Shop Boys. Soon Ms. Wood returned to Asia, but this time she ventured to Hong Kong where she became the fashion editor of B International for two years.  After success in Asia, Ms. Wood decided to take on America and relocated to New York to begin work as a stylist for magazines such as Nylon, Paper, Zink, Tatler HK, and Marie Claire HK, styling celebrities such as Franz Ferdinand, Jeremy Piven, Shia Labeouf, and Lou Reed.

RAMA KOLESNIKOW

Rama Kolesnikow is a performing musician and composer who has recently relocated to Los Angeles. He has composed and produced music and sound effects for a wide variety of forms including: film and animation aired on PBS and Cartoon Network; commercials and industrials for clients such as Apple Computers and Visa; and soundtrack and voice-over for internationally franchised guided tours. In 1994, Rama started the Neil Diamond tribute band, Super Diamond. He currently serves as musical director and plays keyboards with the nationally touring 6 piece band.

ELIZABETH JONES

Born and raised in Chicago, Elizabeth moved to the East Coast to study visual art and dance at Bowdoin College, Maine.  A multi media artist, Elizabeth brings together her various practices through dance films and multi media live dance performance. Most recently she has been focusing her efforts on photography, integrating her choreographic sensibilities into her photographs. Since graduating, Elizabeth worked for a variety of creative professionals, from television producers and independent film directors to fine art and fashion photographers. Now in New York, Elizabeth has found the city to be the perfect place for collaboration, meeting other artists and joining forces in the effort to create beautiful and compelling work.
