Megastars in their respective fields and beyond, musicians Daft Punk (Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, left, and Thomas Bangalter, right), supermodel Gisele Bündchen have teamed up for a helmets-and-all shoot for the Wall Street Journal (styled by George Cortina). The highest paid model in the world is notorious for her business-savvy, environmental and philanthropic work, while the dynamic dance duo have been reinventing electronic disco since 1993.
Having released one of the most highly anticipated albums perhaps of the past decade in May, Random Access Memories, Daft Punk donned their signature Hedi Slimane-designed Saint Laurent suits for the shoot, accompanied by the statuesque, 5′ 11″ Brazilian model who teetered over the artists in creamy white Gianvito Rossi pumps and Louboutins. Combining Gisele’s athletic, feminine presence with Daft Punk’s sleek and hardened exterior, the harmonious, daring shoot celebrates the bold, powerful nature of the three.
