DAMIR DOMA – PARIS S/S 2011 FASHION SHOW

DAMIR DOMA COLLECTION VIDEO

This was designer Damir Doma’s second year of presenting his womenswear for Paris Fashion Week. Doma was born in Croatia but had studied fashion in Munich and Berlin. He had described his show as a woman “emerging as her own being.” Doma’s collection consisted of marigolds mixed with greys, neutrals, and black. There were pieces that were sleek and sexy like the chiffon lapels that flowed down the runway. There were also lovely long cape like blazers layered with sheer skirts and pants. The stunning location at the Galerie de Minéralogie in the 5th was a perfect backdrop for the collection, as the extremely long runway showed off the lovely movement of the clothing as the draped layers floated by.  An impressive and mature new collection, and definitely a designer worth looking out for.
