Dévastée has made a name for itself with an aesthetic often cited as a form of gothic couture. The darker undertones were definitely present in the line’s Spring/Summer 2013 line, with an emphasis on monochromatic geometric landscapes. These hyper-graphic pieces had a distinctly urban vibe, but managed to maintain a classic sense of the female form. High-waisted shorts were dressed up, and chic black trenches were dressed down. The variety of images and aesthetics helped craft a solid, singular line with a true visual thesis.
