DSquared2 heated up the runway on February 29 during Milan Fashion Week with their  2016 fall/winter fashion show. With the prime focus of the collection being the outerwear pieces, identical twin designers Dean and Dan Caten decided to mix unlikely themes to create stand out looks. The collection was inspired by Japanese samurais, classic Victorian elements, and military styles. Brightly colored fur jackets paired with combat pants were seen multiple times during the show. Tights made to look like tattoos, reminiscent of Japanese illustrations, showed under dresses and pants. Victorian styles were incorporated through high, ruffled necks and large, curtain tassel earrings. Fitted military uniform jackets completed the connection of the tri-themed collection.
