Sex. Sequins. Slime. And… toothpaste? Jeremy Scott‘s Spring/Summer 2017 show at New York Fashion Week on September 12th had all of the above. Based on the club kid night life of the city in the ’80s, Scott sent down a troop of the glitz, strange, and pornographic in an attempt to make this metropolis a little freaky again.
Though this collection has more marketable pieces than many, it still holds some avant garde charm in the early Gaga-like sculpted sequin dresses, with geometric patterns and accessories that make sure you know what era he was looking to.
Add this to “X-Rated” graphic tees, fetish levels of fishnet clad legs, kinky latex, and a glory hole cut-out, and you’ve got yourself a truly Jeremy Scott collection that won’t soon be forgotten. Not that we’d want to.
