Water fo Your Soul album cover

Joss Stone‘s fans are no longer in need of hydration after she released her album Water for Your Soul on July 17th. This is the British soul artist’s seventh studio album, which will be released via Stone’d Records. In conjunction with her album release, Joss Stone will also be performing live on July 29th and 30th for Live! With Kelly and Michael and Watch What Happens: Live.

Joss Stone rose to stardom in 2003 after her her debut album The Soul Sessions went multi-platinum. Her second album, Mind, Body, & Soul topped the UK charts and after her Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2005, her career only kept progressing in the right direction. “You Had Me” and “Fell in Love With a Boy” are only two of her many recognizable songs to date.

Water for Your Soul, is somewhat a coming of age story, illustrating through her soulful sound, how the teen prodigy has blossomed into a new artist of style and substance. The album dabbles in the pulsing sounds of reggae, the sonic adventures of hip hop, and romantic and exotic tones of R&B. It is definitely what would be referred to a “combination album,” joining together a number of genres and sounds. For her fans, Water for Your Soul is definitely expected to hydrate the soul.
