Karla Otto presents new collections for Womenswear Fall/Winter 2013-2014
The lights of the party sparkle in the night… Following in the mythical footsteps of noted night owl Loris Azzaro, this Autumn/Winter 2013/14 Azzaro collection dives into a dark and sensual world where femininity reveals and disguises itself in the light of the moon, following the house’s celebrated codes.
According the houses codes statement, This Season Hakaan is back with a monochromatic, urban and feminine collection which presents a strong iconic woman..
Transforming the old school sexiness and elegance to other dimensions of high tech materials and exaggerated cuts. Cleaner and brave variations of old school femininity with sportswear and menswear thrown into break the looks into more of a street Couture. From silk and ostrich feathers to contrasting nylon, from wool to leather, all finished with Hakaan’s luxe tailoring.
IRIS VAN HERPEN
Dutch designer Iris van Herpen presents her first ready-to-wear collection in Paris.
Iris van Herpen is pleased to announce the launch of her first ready- to-wear collection: Phy-tha-go-rash.
This first ready-to-wear collection is, for the designer, the opportunity to expand her avant-garde and experimental approach to a more functional dimension. Dresses, coats, blouses, skirts, pants and knit wears – and three different styles of shoes – are many propositions thought for the everyday life and directly adapted from the Couture designer expertise.
Geometric cut, drape, tough attitude and texture create a strong woman with a disciplined silhouette for John Galliano Femme Autumn / Winter 2013-14.
Drape versus geometric line and seaming juxtapose textures and jacquards of waffle, wool, weave, plait, pleat, speckle and swirl. Strong colour blocking contrasts with prints of distorted fauna and flora, whilst embroidered tone-on-tone textures, furs and heavy felted wools evoke the mood of fall.
