Malan Breton presented his collection on February 11, at Gotham Hall in New York City. Titled “Gotham Disco Dollies,” the line featured mens and women’s looks created in angora, vicuna, merino wool, lambskin, python and silk. Outerwear for both genders took precedence with leather jackets, velour blazers, and thick, fuzzy sweaters. Strutting to music by EDM star Sylvia Tosun, the female models wore gowns fit for a red carpet. A striking fitted taupe dress with a ruffled bubble hem and a sparkly slinky number with a high slit showed Breton’s diversity as a designer. The collection was filled with modern silhouettes, using classic construction techniques and form, yet allowing the body freedom, and movement. Models pink lips were also a creation of Breton himself who introduced his first foray into cosmetics for women. The cosmetic collection that will launch later in 2016 has been created with Amazing Cosmetics brand.

Breton’s show featured more than just clothing. There were also a few celebrity models who made appearances. One in particular was Ben Hazelwood, a contestant from “The Voice – Australia.” Former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Camille Grammer’s daughter, 14 year old Mason Grammer, also strutted her stuff in the show.

Breton is the winner of the 2014 European Fashion Council “Eirene” Fashion Award, the 2014 Fashion Icon of the Year award from UCOF, and was nominated for a 2011 WGSN Global Fashion Award.
