Australian designer Martin Grant added an uncharacteristic punch of bright yellow to his SS12 collection this season, making his trench coat a bit edgy with it’s yellow trim, and his black evening gowns pop with yellow splashes, lines, and drapes. Overall, Sang kept his risks under control and yellow was the only means of stepping out of his comfort zone. He kept the form of his garments clean, polished, and classic with long lines composing jumpsuits acting as gowns, wide-legged silk palazzo pants, shapely tuxedo vests, and slashed cocktail dresses.
