It looks like the Olsen sisters can now add “bridal” to their resumé. When longtime friend Molly Fishkin got engaged, choosing who would design her wedding gown was a no-brainer. Fishkin told Vogue for it’s August issue, “I was thrilled — their taste is impeccable, and I really trust them. They were always so calming and made the process incredibly enjoyable. I will never forget what they did for me. Designing my gown with them was the most exciting and emotional experience of my life.”
Mary-Kate and Ashley are the designers behind two big labels – The Row and Elizabeth and James. The design team at The Row worked seamlessly to create a one-of-a-kind lace gown and matching veil that were cohesive with the understated glamour that the Olsens’ lines represent. It is no surprise that the sisters have bridal on the brain because, in addition to designing Fishkin’s dress for her nuptials, both Mary-Kate and younger sister Elizabeth are engaged. When asked by Women’s Wear Daily if she’d consider designing her own gown, Mary-Kate admitted she had not given it much thought and was “not even there yet” in terms of wedding planning. Still, we predict that this won’t be the only bridal gown we see from the designer sisters.
