Designer Angela Missoni debuted her Fall/Winter 2016 collection for Missoni on February 28th during Milan Fashion Week. Using their signature knits as a key component, handcrafted, oversized sweaters paired with chunky knit beanies and big, lengthy scarves started the show. These oversized sweaters left behind the tights, with hems skimming the top of models thighs, adding a sexy touch to cozy collection. The looks were a modernized boho chic for which Missoni has been known. Maxi dresses were created in the brand’s horizontal zigzags on thin fabrics and paired with skinny scarves or layered over soft long sleeves. When models donned pants whether wide-legged or leggings, they often matched layers of sweaters and scarves up top. The collection was overwhelmingly comfortable, yet as chic as ever. The color palette started off light and bright, with some color combos a bit harsh to the eyes. Most appealing were the pastels, mixed, matched and layered with each other. The show ended with a dark gray, shimmering maxi dress and scarf combination complete with subtle Missoni horizontal zigzags and a deep v-neck that was one of our favorites.
