Moncler Grenoble debuted it’s sporty collection on February 13, testing out a key element of outerwear: if it can withstand the cold. Presented in the plaza of Lincoln Center on Manhattan’s coldest evening of winter so far, Moncler Grenoble subjected fashion followers, editors, and models to brave the elements. The presentation began with a group of 80 athletes decked out in blue ski-oriented gear, entering the plaza in a synchronized, choreographed fashion. Thanks to exhaustive practice and dedication that all athletes can relate to, the group stunned even the coldest show-goers.
Moncler Grenoble debuted mens and womens looks based on a fashionable athletic aesthetic. For women, lacquer-effect embroidered textures and sophisticated waxed jackets took the classic Moncler look to a new level. Mens looks were made of sleek and clean silhouettes in elastic fabrics, adding a level of comfort to the warming, layered looks. Debuted this season were outerwear approaches for snowboarders, rather than just skiers. These larger proportioned looks were trendy, yet still classically Moncler. This season brought a fresh, modern take on the well-known brand, bringing their classic, incredible technical warmth to a more fashion-forward look.
