FAIR Presented by NADA May 20 – June 21, 2020
The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) has announced FAIR, built in partnership with Artlogic. FAIR is a new art fair initiative designed to be entirely online, function cooperatively, and act as a benefit for NADA’s community of galleries, nonprofits and artists.
FAIR offers an alternative profit-sharing model, structured to facilitate mutual support within the art community and provide revenue to each of its participants during a time in which galleries have temporarily closed their physical locations.

A percentage from each sale made from FAIR will directly benefit all participating galleries and artists. In addition, a percentage of each sale will go towards supporting NADA for their efforts in producing FAIR, their continued work as an organization for art galleries, through this time of crisis and beyond. Each participating gallery will present a series of artworks over four-weeks with the opportunity to share new artworks each week, May 20 – June 21, 2020.
Artworks presented at FAIR include a range of works such as Jo Shane’s “President’s Choice”. This work was created in response to the Reagan Administration’s complete dismissal of the 1980’s AIDS Crisis. The work, a post-minimalist cube composed of “President’s Choice” brand toilet paper rolls, features portraits of loved ones and celebrities that died of AIDS during Ronald Reagan’s eight-year presidency.
In conjunction with FAIR, participating galleries and artists share studio visits, performances, and video screenings to complement the artworks on view. New videos are posted throughout each week to offer further context and conversation, opening a window into artists studios and their processes. Artists participating in Week 1 of FAIR include Sydney Shen (Springsteen), Samuel Jablon (Ballon Rouge Collective), Jo Shane (Kendra Jayne Patrick), Shannon Lewis (14a), Florencia Escudero with Rosana Caban (Kristen Lorello), Barnett Cohen (JDJ) and Anna Betbeze (Nina Johnson).
Among the artists participating in forthcoming weeks of STUDIO are Azza El Siddique (Towards), Stipan Tadić (steven harvey fine art projects), Dan Attoe and Robyn O’Neil (Western Exhibitions), James Benjamin Franklin (Reyes | Finn), Debora Delmar (Syndicate), Sheida Soleimani (Edel Assanti), Craig Drennen (Laney Contemporary).
