There’s no “Bad Blood” between Bastille fans anymore, as the English rock band has, after two years, recently released a new single and music video. In its first week of release, “Good Grief” was #1 Most Added at Alternative and Triple A Radio. Its chaotic video, which was shot over six days in Madrid, contains scenes of the headless lead singer Dan Smith, bank robbery, rollerblading, a creepy live teddy bear, and occasional nudity. Of the video, Smith said:

“It is like a mad visual Rubik’s cube that takes a load of archetypal narrative scenarios and then twists and collides them together. We wanted to make something fun and chaotic and surreal that would serve as a fittingly odd accompaniment to the song.”

Well, Bastille, succeeded as it is without a doubt “fun,” “chaotic,” and “surreal.”

The upbeat and catchy tune definitely continues with the Bastille sound we all know and love and is the first track from the band’s upcoming second album Wild World. The rock band’s debut album, Bad Blood, thrust the Englishmen into the spotlight with the chart-topping tracks “Pompeii,” Bad Blood,” and “Flaws,” and two Grammy nominations. Bastille announced Wild World through a viral Facebook trailer that received over 500,000 views in its first two days of release. Smith said the upcoming album is about “trying to make sense of the world around you” and “asking questions of the world and of the people in it.”

As if this news wasn’t enough, Bastille is exciting fans by hitting the road this summer for multiple performances in the UK, US, and Canada. “We’ve missed you, we’ve missed you, we’ve missed you more,” Bastille!
