Justin Timberlake truly “can’t stop the feeling, so just dance, dance, dance!” The award-winning singer’s latest single, “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” and its music video have taken over the charts since the track’s debut last month and also had the largest first week single sales for any track in 2016, proving that the superstar has true staying power.
Although Timberlake hasn’t had a music release since 2013’s The 20/20 Experience, he definitely hasn’t taken a break. Besides becoming a father in 2015, one look at his IMBD page shows that the triple threat has remained incredibly busy for the past couple of years with numerous television appearances and movie roles. His next film role is that of the character, Branch, alongside Anna Kendrick‘s character, Poppy in the upcoming animated film Trolls. Aside from filling a main acting role, Timberlake is also executive producer for the movie and sings on the soundtrack. In fact, “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” is the first released single off of the Trolls album, the full soundtrack debuts on September 23rd.
Timberlake teased the release of the summery tune with a “first listen.” The feel-good video shows the nine-time Grammy winner grooving to the catchy tune alongside his Trolls costars, which include Anna Kendrick, Gwen Stefani, and James Corden. The official music video opens with Timberlake singing and dancing inside a diner. It’s hard not to get up and dance along as Justin sings “I got that sunshine in my pocket, got that good soul in my feet. I feel that hot blood in my body when it drops, ooh!” Listeners are bound to mimic the cast of the video as they groove to the beat in a grocery store, diner and outside of a donut shop, too. A cappella superstar group, Home Free, 2013 winners of NBC’s Sing-Off, have posted their own country remixed version of the song as well. When it comes to Timberlake, it seems that there isn’t anyone who can stop the good feelings.
