Rising singer-songwriter, Oyinda, premiered her self-directed music video for her single, “Never Enough” on March 28th. The single is a follow-up to her 2014 debut EP, Before the Fall, and marks an exciting step for the London and Nigerian raised star. The new clip is filmed in all black and white, with Oyinda as the main focus, performing a seductive dance while encircled by a ring of televisions. Combining pop music with R&B, the hypnotic bass entrances viewers right from the start. On the experience of making the video, Oyinda stated:
“It was a lot of fun directing and bringing this video to life. Rather than a concept, there was an image; me lying in a circle of TVs. I started creating a treatment on Tumblr and I filled it with photos from my mood board in my studio, but the biggest inspiration was Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” video. The strength of that performance made me want to do a seamless piece too, but in my own way— a little imperfect with a hint of Sci-Fi.”
