The annual Photo District News Photoplus Conference + Expo returns for its 30th anniversary this year to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in midtown Manhattan.
The conference and expo is the largest of its kind in North America. Over 24,000 professional photographers and photo enthusiasts and 230 companies engage yearly to exhibit photography and to explore new services, products, and technology. There are over 90 seminars being held covering a wide range of topics from technical mastery to better business and marketing practices. Keynote speakers include NASA astronaut Donald Pettit, photographer Mark Seliger, and photographer Rick Smolan.
Other special events include a series of classes held over one day by WPPI University, a panel discussion on the future of photography with Chuck Westfall, Steve Heiner, Chris Chute, and Scott Kelby, ongoing portfolio reviews by top industry experts, a panel discussion with Jerry Ghionis, Corey Rich and Ami Vitale, and an anniversary bash.
