Peter Pilotto designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos were inspired by winter landscapes for their fall/winter 2016 collection. Shown on February 22, the looks were in icy tones of blues, purples and grays. Embroidered details played a huge role in this collection, adding to the heavy textures and chilly colors. Calf grazing skirts with detailed patterns and intricate coloring paired with ankle length coats that were both oversized and cozy walked the runway. Metallic, silver tones popped in many looks, adding to the cold-weather theme. Knits were shear in just the right places, adding a lighter touch to the jacquard-heavy collection. For Peter Pilotto, the detailed and unique collection was the best take on winter we’ve seen yet.
