Photo Vogue Festival
November 15th – November 19th, 2017
Piazza Duomo 12 & Via Bergognone 34, Milan, Italy
The second edition of Photo Vogue Festival, the first international festival devoted to fashion photography, is set to open in Milan in November (read all about last year’s edition here.) This year, the festival will feature an exhibition, “Fashion & Politics In Vogue Italia,” exploring how the particularly controversial magazine’s editorials have opened discussions on gender, consumerism, and protest. The exhibit will include work by David LaChappelle, Steven Meisel, and Ellen von Unwerth among many others. Also to debut at the Piazza Duomo is a retrospective on the work of Paolo Roversi. The extensive exhibit spans over nine rooms, each one reflecting a different facet of Roversi’s work.
Photo Vogue Festival will also showcase the work of up-and-coming talent in an exhibit of works at the Via Bergognone by emerging photographers selected by a panel of international experts including Aperture editor Michael Famighetti, New Yorker photography critic Vince Aletti, and Art + Commerce founding partner Jimmy Moffat. Lastly, the event will host a series of talks with various international leading photographers yet to be announced.
