PRADA – MILAN F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW
Muccia Prada continued this seasons pants trend in her Fall 2012 collection for Prada, including a pair in all of the forty-one looks that came down the runway. The pants had a straight cut that didn’t fit too closely to the body and were cropped just above the ankle. The looks used bold graphic patterns reminiscent of optical illusions that were heightened by the oversized jewel appliques. For the striking hair and makeup, Guido Palau and Pat McGrath wanted to project a “virtual princess,” giving eyes a graphic stripe of black and color, paired with long, straight, slick-backed hair, dip-dyed in contrasting hues. The silhouettes were crisp and cleanly tailored, demonstrating the precision and control Muccia has long been praised for.
