Proenza Schouler designers Jake McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez debuted their Fall 2016 collection at the Whitney Museum’s new location in the Meatpacking district on February 17th. The venue proved to be a New York Fashion Week success as well as the collection. The main components on the runway were knits, triangular silhouettes, and lots of laces. Jackets and coats were cinched on the models to create elegant hour glass figures. Dresses and sweaters appeared to be cut into pieces and laced back together. Seven items from the collection, including the nude ribbed dress which appeared twice during the show, became available for immediate release after the show on the brand’s website and also in their SoHo store location.
