Ralph Lauren presented his Fall 2016 collection on the morning of February 18th in downtown Manhattan. This year Lauren took inspiration from traditional British garments to create an overall elegant feel. Karlie Kloss, who already walked in New York Fashion Week, started off the show in a neutral, monochromatic looking two piece. The first few models out on the runway wore similar neutral beige tones which has proven to be one of Lauren’s signature clothing colors.
Color started to filter in with more distinctive looking pieces. Ruffled collars, plaids, and a tribal patterned coat graced the runway. As the show continued, the clothes turned from day wear to evening wear. The dresses ranged from simple black chic to the final look of a fitted black turtle neck paired with a belted gold high low skirt.
