Simone Rocha was inspired by the recent birth of her daughter to create her Fall 2016 collection which showed on February 20th during London Fashion Week. Her “matrons” depicted a Victorian Gothic style reminiscent of a nurse in a hospital. Many of the pieces included a gauze apron over a dress of a classic tweed jacket. One of the tweed jackets on the runway had full, billowing sleeves and wrapped around like a night robe. Rocha symbolically used the color red twice to incorporate the hospital theme. Large bows tied around the models’ necks helped keep the Victorian vibe. Pieces from the collection are already available for purchase.
