For her 2013 line, Steffie Christiaens images a wardrobe fit for 2012—namely, the end of the world. Christiaens has stated that the life cycle (birth, life, death) served as conceptual inspiration when design her line of ready-to-wear dresses. A pastel palette, operating on muted shades of ice blue, pale rose, glacial silver and calm apricot, was perfectly draped with the designers signature eye for tailoring. Each piece looked ready for a cocktail party or dinner date, all while maintaining an air of glamour. The stand-out piece of the show was most definitely the black cut-out swimsuit layered with a ultra sheer floor length black fabric draped from a white hat.
