Norwegian artist Susanne Sundfør announces her first US tour, coinciding with the release of her White Foxes Remix EP. Sundfør, a platinum selling artist at home – where her latest album The Silicone Veil reached #1 – has previously toured Europe with M83 and Royksopp. She’ll be making her debut US live solo appearances in September beginning with two shows in Los Angeles, one in San Francisco, and ending with two shows in New York City.
Sundfør’s newest release – the White Foxes Remix EP – is available today. White Foxes (a Pitchfork Best New Track) is the first single from The Silicone Veil. The remix package includes the original album mix, previously released remixes from Kleerup and Maps, and two brand new remixes: a drivingly dark and undulating dance remix from Big Black Delta – and a captivating, glitch-tripping remix from Sundfør herself.
Already a platinum-selling artist at home (her debut album The Brothel spent 30 weeks on the Norwegian album charts selling more than 40,000 copies), Sundfør’s latest album.
The Silicone Veil is co-produced by Sundfør with Jaga Jazzist’s Lars Horntveth. Each track on the album vibrates with wild passion and dark undertones as the beguiling Norwegian songstress explores the loss of illusions, faith and hope, and in her own words: “Apocalypse, death, love and snow.”
Following its UK release last October, the album launched the beguiling songstress onto the world stage. 2012 saw Sundfør perform at the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize Concert, tour with M83, Maps and more plus much buzzed about collaborations with Röyksopp. Most recently Sundfør collaborated with M83’s Anthony Gonzalez on the Tom Cruise summer blockbuster Oblivion Theme.
