In celebration of Pride Month and “Camp: Notes on Fashion” The Met will host a vogueing competition titled “Battle of The Legends” on June 11th – taking place on the prominent Met steps. Anna Wintour, Twiggy Garcon, and Roth will act as judges with a prize going to the crowd’s favorite. Competitors include Asia Balenciaga, Bootz Prodigy, Dashaun Lanvin, Omari Mizrahi, Tamiyah Mugler, and Ty Ebony – some of the fiercest competitors in the vogueing arena.

Following the viral success of the 2019 Met Gala with the theme “Camp: Notes on Fashion,” the Met took another stride further to recognize the impact of the LGBT community in the camp scene. “Rainbow infused pieces inspired by camp” is how the met defines their new camp-inspired merch collection, intended to promote inclusion and inspire through the words of the great Oscar Wilde -“Be yourself, everyone else is already taken” can be shopped in the form of totes, mugs, scarfs, earrings and more. His infamous sayings have an impact on LGBTQ+ activism: they resonate with the community.
