The annual Vogue Festival is returning for its third year, scheduled to take place on March 29 and 30th. The mega-fashion publication is partnering with upscale department store Harrods for the two-day event which will be held in the Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Southbank Centre. The festival has fetched some of the world’s most renowned fashion talents for a weekend-long affair. This past year’s festivities consisted of interviews and discussions, with a great deal of famous figures speaking at the gathering. Notable personnels ranged from Victoria Beckham, Donatella Versace, Paul Smith, and Michael Kors to Mario Testino, Vivenne Westwood, Alexa Chung and Cara Delevingne. This year’s April Vogue Festival even distributed short films, divulging the closed doors of designers, models, and plenty of celebrities. One film revealed a behind the scenes look of a Vogue cover shoot, how Victoria Beckham achieved her responsibility as an accredited fashion guru and interviews with many other fashion moguls.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Vogue for the Vogue Festival 2014,” said Chiara Varese, Harrods’ director of customer relationship management and personal shopping. “The fashion world is artistic, inspirational, innovative and sophisticated, but most of all it’s exciting and fun. We look forward to adding to the unique customer experience for which this event has become well known and best loved. This natural partnership between our two brands will bring together in an innovative way the world’s leading influencers, designers and fashion-savvy crowd, in luxury style.”
The line-up for 2014’s festival has not yet been published, although we should expect an inspirational and well-informed list of guests. Tickets will be on sale sometime in mid-February. 2014’s two-day spectacular has pledged to be substantially more awe-inspiring than it’s first two forerunners. There will be plenty of thrilling activities including cover shoots, make-up master classes and most importantly, industry mentoring panels.
