Singer and all-around entertainer, Tinashe, released her new lead single, “Superlove” from her sophomore album Joyride, which is anticipated to release this fall. The uptempo track is reminiscent of young, bubbly crushes. The lyrics, “They will never love you babe. Like I love you babe. Baby, say you’ll never take my love away,” discuss how irreplaceable her feelings are for a new love interest. It is a great song to dance around to while you think of that new person giving you butterflies.

Written over the course of 2015 and 2016, Joyride is the result of an artist coming fully into her own. The upcoming LP is a testament to Tinashe’s musical abilities and shows the public her creative side. Inspired by her time spent traveling the world over the past few years, Joyride was written and produced by Tinashe, as were her previous projects.

“I have felt a strong urge recently to release a song that promotes positivity, love, and light. ‘Superlove’ is a celebration of happiness. More specifically, it celebrates the kind of happiness that is so immense and infectious, that you can’t help but to rejoice in it. I hope to eulogize this wonderful energy and make people feel good, love harder, and dance together.” – Tinashe

Joyride is the follow up to her debut album Aquarius that took over the charts back in 2014. Make sure to check out The Untitled Magazine’s exclusive interview with Tinashe in which the then rising star shed light on her experience of emerging as a solo artist, as well as the time leading up to her first solo album. Since then, Tinashe has definitely made her presence known in the music world and will definitely continue to do so with this Fall’s release of Joyride.
