On Sunday, February 28th, designer Gaia Trussardi showed her collection for the Fall/Winter 2016 season during Milan Fashion Week. Trussardi said that her inspiration came from Dolly Parton’s classic “Jolene”. Mixing menswear styles, such as three piece suits and oversized clothing was a recurring theme. Double breasted corduroy blazers with large buttons were a collection staple. Channeling an old time prairie vibe were wide-brimmed fedora hats with capes and skirts. Taking everything full circle was the use of a neutral, earth tone color palette full of tans, burnt oranges, creams, and reds.
