On February 15th, Vivienne Tam showed her Fall/Winter 2016 collection in the Arc at Moynihan Station. The inspiration for the collection came from a variety of different cultures and traditions. Patterns and patchwork are heavily featured in this collection. Knits, leathers, suedes, and sequins were strewn about. Modified sweatshirts resembling traditional tapestries were paired with lamé, pleated skirts to produce a modernized look. Robe-like coats also made an appearance. The color palette for the collection included rich, earth tones like deep reds, greens, blacks, and bronzed metallics.
