AIR PACKS TWO DECADES OF HITS IN ‘TWENTYEARS’ ALBUM

In honor of the 20th anniversary of their international debut, French duo, Air, will release an anthology album, Twentyears, on June 10th. The tracklist for the album was personally selected by band mates, Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel. Some of the essential hits included are Sexy Boy, Kelly Watch The Stars,” “Playground Love,” “Cherry Blossom Girl” and “Le soleil est près de moi.” Twentyears will also include tracks from Premiers symptômes, Moon Safari, The Virgin Suicides, 10 000 Hz Legend, Talkie Walkie and Le voyage dans la Lune.

One of the most exciting things to note is that the double CD set will include 14 previously unreleased tracks. Some of the tracks include, “Adis  Abebah” from the Quartier lointain soundtrack, “Roger Song”, from Corman’s World, a documentary about cult B-movie director Roger Corman, and “The Duelist” which was performed by Charlotte Gainsbourg and Jarvis Cocker during the Pocket Symphony album recording.

Following the initial album release, a super deluxe edition will be available July 22nd. Along with the double CD set, this will include a third album that features Air’s remixes of legendary artists including David Bowie, Beck, Depeche Mode, and Neneh Cherry.On May 20th, the band will embark on a tour throughout the UK with the addition of two shows in California and various festival appearances.
