A$AP Rocky claims the #1 spot on multiple charts this week with his new album, At.Long.Last.A$AP . Critics have described his second album as “psychedelic,” much moreso than his original gritty sound, but with definite influences amongst his peers, and from the rap culture, staying most original by allowing that blueprint to show through instead of repackaging it.
In 2013, A$AP Rocky announced his global arrival in a major way with his chart-topping debut album Long.Live.A$AP. His platinum-selling Noah “40” Shebib produced track “F**kin’ Problems,” featuring Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar, made the Top 10 charts. “F**kin’ Problems” won a BET Award for Best Collaboration, BET Hip-Hop Award for Best Collaboration, Duo or Group, MTV Video Music Award Japan for Best Hip-Hop Video, and nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Song. Don’t miss our feature on A$AP in our Music Issue 6.
A$AP Rocky will have a European tour later this year. Tour dates TBA.
