After years of dedication to the fashion industry, The British Fashion Council has announced that Bruce Weber will be presented with the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator at The Fashion Awards 2016 in partnership with Swarovski.
Know for his iconic black and white photos, Weber’s work first appeared in the 1970’s for GQ. From there, Weber has worked on campaigns for Calvin Klein, Pirelli, Ralph Lauren and Versace. His work has been featured in magazines including Elle, Interview, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair and multiple Vogues. Through his erotic and cutting-edge photographs, Weber has established himself as one of the most celebrated photographers of his time.
Apart from photography, Weber has showed his talent into other creative outlets. He has filmed the photographical cinematic experience, Chop Suey along with academy acclaimed documentaries, Let’s Get Lost and Broken Noses. Furthermore, Weber has completed over 37 books and held over 60 exhibitions world-wide.
Weber will be honored on Monday, December 5th at the Royal Albert Hall for his achievements within the global fashion industry . The Fashion Awards 2016 will celebrate the best talent from the global fashion community and will be the inaugural annual fundraiser gala for the British Fashion Council Education Foundation charity.
