Chiara Ferragni

The world of fashion cannot be described as black and white. Stylists and bloggers have become designers, designers have created massive brands that extend across multiple industries, and many have created fashion empires for themselves from scratch. “It Girl” Chiara Ferragni is one of these fashion entrepreneurs who has become a driving force in the fashion industry.

She began posting photos online as a teenager and then in 2009, founded her successful fashion blog, “The Blonde Salad,” with co-founder Riccardo Pozzoliwhile she was pursuing a law degree at Bocconi University in Milan. The website is now an online magazine that showcases her personal style and details her lifestyle, travel, inspirations and collaborations. Now that the “The Blonde Salad” is a massive brand, Ferragni has become so much more than her blog.

In 2013, the now 29-year-old fashion icon launched the Chiara Ferragni collection, a vibrant shoe brand that is sold globally and portrays her personal style. Several pairs from her collection were recently featured in The Untitled Magazine’s exclusive fashion editorial, “Pop Star.” She has also collaborated with many design houses, such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Steve Madden on other projects and has recently been named the brand ambassador for both Pantene and Amazon Fashion in Europe. Not to mention, Ferragni is a frequent cover star who has graced the covers of Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and Cosmopolitan. It is through all these accomplishments that she has gained six million followers on Instagram, made more than $10 million in 2015 and was listed in the Forbes 2015 and 2016 “30 Under 30” features.

To add to her success, Harvard Business School made “The Blonde Salad” a case study for a marketing class in the MBA program, which made Ferragni the first blogger to be featured in a Harvard case study. The finished product was published in January 2015 and was presented in a lecture that Ferragni attended. At the time, Ferragni said it was one of her proudest achievements. The young fashion entrepreneur truly has no limits to her success and continues to grow her fashion empire into a remarkable force.
