CHANEL – HAUTE COUTURE
We can feel the 40s nostalgia in many of the accessories and cuts in Chanel’s collection. The color palette varied little and had and vintage undercurrent (black, gray, pink and silver). Shimmering silver pantyhose were utilized to give a sense of uniformity to the collection of suits and dresses. Hair was parted in the middle and most models wore a headband or delicate broidery netting, emphasizing the 40s look.
