Chanel is, without a doubt, the singular name when it comes to modern, stylish women and fashion. Classic elements of Chanel’s past pieces are still present for Spring / Summer 2013, including the classic square padded design that has come to define their line of handbags. This season, the most obvious element was a return to unique proportions, with a re-appropriation of the classic Chanel women’s suit, with exaggerated shoulder padding accompanying the familiar trim. Karl Lagerfeld’s push to “Neo-Coco” was definitely apparent, with three-dimensional prints and floral designs—all perfectly complimenting the classic Chanel aesthetic.
