CRYSTALLMESS, BAE BAE, AND DJ ANDERSON DO PARAÍSO HEADLINE MOMA PS1’S WARM UP 2026
Warm Up, MoMA PS1’s signature outdoor music series, returns for its 28th season across six Fridays in July and August, bringing underground and emerging talent from around the world into the museum’s Queens courtyard.
This season arrives alongside MoMA PS1’s 50th anniversary, and the lineup reflects that milestone by bringing back notable names from Warm Up’s own history. Sound artist Lary 7, who performed at the first-ever Warm Up in 1998, returns to create soundscapes built from found objects and materials tied to PS1. Detroit soundtrack pioneer and 3Chairs alumnus Marcellus Pittman comes back for the first time since 2013. The opening weekend also features a headlining b2b set from Parisian producer Crystallmess and LA-based BAE BAE of Hood Rove, alongside a special programmatic partnership with experimental music platform Terraforma EXO, including talks, film screenings, and more to be announced.

Elsewhere in the lineup, Bronx reggae label founder Lloyd Barnes and Basic Channel’s Mark Ernestus collaborate on a set blending early vocalists with the dub techno style Ernestus helped pioneer. keiyaA performs a live R&B set, and Mabe Fratti brings her drone-inspired cello work. Duo SCRAAATCH pays tribute to Yasunao Tone’s “Solo for Wounded CD” with a noisy, experimental set. Belo Horizonte-based DJ Anderson do Paraíso makes his US debut with baile funk, joining artists BADSISTA and DJ WORKING CLASS, who work in Brazil and São Paulo dance rhythms. Cortisa Star brings lyrical drill beats, while Den Haag-based De Schuurman offers his take on “bubbling.”
Throughout the summer, artists will perform on a stage designed by New York City-based artist Somnath Bhatt. During each Warm Up, the expertise of NYC artists is on view in “Greater New York,” while museum galleries stay open late, giving visitors the chance to wander through Precious Okoyomon’s living forest installation.
