Debbie Harry

Debbie Harry will perform a ten-night residency at Café Carlyle Tuesday March 24 through Saturday April 4, marking her debut at the famous cabaret located inside the historic Carlyle Hotel on NYC’s Upper East Side. She has been making music and doing what she loves for 40 years, and there are no signs of slowing down; just check out The Untitled’s interview with her for the “Legendary” Issue 7. Her show at the Carlyle will be of material that she doesn’t usually get to perform with Blondie, much of which will be from her solo albums mixed with a few surprises.  She will be accompanied on stage by Blondie keyboardist Matt Katz-Bowen playing keyboards, synthesizers, piano and guitar.  Some of the co-writers of these songs will be sitting in occasionally and bringing their special talents which helped inspire the recordings.
Audiences will be treated to rare live performances of cuts from Debbie’s lauded solo catalogue, electronically enhanced on stage by Katz-Bohen. Debbie will divulge the range of moods and inspirations behind these songs in an intimate, stripped-down setting that will highlight the beautiful complexities in each song. Surprise guests will appear with Debbie, bringing a spontaneity and interesting sonic layers that will have fans at the edge of their seats. It is sure to be an up-close-and-personal experience with just the right touch of musical drama and madness that only Debbie Harry can deliver.
