On July 25th, Donna Karan and Kelly Ripa spent their day hosting the 18th annual Super Saturday. The OVC and Ovarian Cancer Research Fund– sponsored event was nothing far from super, raising $3.4 million toward funding research for a cure for ovarian cancer.
Along with an enormous profit for a great cause, the event also brought together fun-filled activities, with the best designers and a guest list that would make anyone think twice about not attending. Stylist June Ambrose, Brooke Shields (who was featured in the The Untitled Magazine’s Legendary Issue 7), Rachel Zoe, and Alec Baldwin were only a few of the attendees who enjoyed the many luxuries Super Saturday had to offer.
And luxuries they were. The event offered a garage sale of the most fashionable finds, including merchandise from Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Diana von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Alice + Olivia, ZAC Zac Posen, and Donna Karan New York. In addition to the sale, attendees also enjoyed one-of-a-kind experiences like Alex and Ani Charity By Design manicures, beauty touch-ups by Tre’StiQue, and a DKNY Psychedelic Photobooth. Adults were not the only ones to have fun though; there were a selection of arcade games and activities for the children to take part in as well.
Super Saturday was definitely a success. The endless shopping, countless activities, and complimentary brunch and raffle prizes was the perfect way to spend a Saturday. And the most attractive part about it all, was that it was for a good cause.
