On the evening of November 21st, Dr. Macrene Alexiades, MD, PhD, FAAD, the world-renowned dermatologist and scientist behind DR. MACRENE actives, hosted an exclusive salon dinner to celebrate the launch of the brand’s newest innovation, the Chria Collection, at the renowned Delice & Sarrasin in New York City. The evening was a stunning blend of beauty, luxury, and philanthropy, as Dr. Alexiades and actress Rebecca Dayan co-hosted the event in partnership with Project Zero and The Coral Collective—two organizations dedicated to saving coral reefs from extinction.
The Chria Collection marks an exciting expansion of the brand’s High Performance Lip Filler, a revolutionary product designed to both tint and treat the lips using organic plant oils and hyaluronic acid. Available in four new clean shades—Nude, Pink, Berry, and Red—this product is a hybrid formulation that offers not only color but also effective skincare, proving that clean beauty can be both luxurious and scientifically active. Completely reef-friendly, the Chria Collection continues Dr. Macrene’s commitment to delivering products that are clean, non-toxic, and designed to work in harmony with the planet.
The event itself was as chic and glamorous as the brand it celebrated. Guests gathered in the Michelin-recognized, plant-based French restaurant, Delice & Sarrasin, where they enjoyed a cocktail reception followed by a seated dinner. The menu featured reimagined French classics, all plant-based, including escargot, steak frites, coq au vin, and ratatouille Niçoise—each dish thoughtfully prepared to align with the ethos of the evening.
Dr. Alexiades, Rebecca Dayan, and Project Zero and Coral Collective ambassador Georgia Cohen introduced the evening’s proceedings, warmly welcoming guests to experience the collection and hear more about the organizations they are supporting. A highlight of the evening was an exclusive performance by Alexa Dark, who serenaded the crowd with her original song “Faith Alibi” along with a medley of covers, including “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak, “Le Temps De L’Amour” by Francoise Hardy, and “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac.
The event also served as a celebration of the intersection of beauty and environmental activism.
