FREDERICK ANDERSON PRESENTS HIS SUMMER 2025 COLLECTION IN OLD SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO WITH A SERIES OF EVENTS AND RUNWAY SHOW ON THE ISLAND

On December 13, 2024, renowned women’s ready-to-wear designer Frederick Anderson unveiled his Summer 2025 collection in an unforgettable destination fashion show at the historic Antiguo Casino in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Presented by the Puerto Rico Convention District Authority (PRCDA), the event celebrated the island’s vibrant cultural legacy, marking a milestone in Anderson’s illustrious career.

Titled “Puerto Rico, America,” the collection was a tribute to Puerto Rico’s rich cultural and social tapestry, blending the rhythms of traditional Bomba music with contemporary American sportswear influences. The runway show kicked off with a champagne reception, followed by an electrifying display of Anderson’s designs, set against the stunning Beaux-Arts architecture of the Antiguo Casino. Guests, including international media, influencers, and VIPs, enjoyed a post-show cocktail reception featuring live entertainment and a curated Puerto Rican experience.

“With my first destination fashion show, the Bomba music rings in my ears and is mixed with everything American in Puerto Rico, including the island’s sportswear obsession.” said Anderson. “Collaborating with the PRCDA will bring my Summer 2025 collection to a new, fashionable audience.”

The evening was part of a larger initiative by the PRCDA to establish Puerto Rico as a premier fashion destination. Plans are already underway to host an official Fashion Week in Puerto Rico starting October 2025.  “Puerto Rico is excited to have Frederick Anderson and Fashion Group International (FGI) working with us to establish Puerto Rico as a fashion destination,” said Mariela Vallines, Esq, Executive Director, PRCDA. “Frederick Anderson’s Summer 2025 presentation at the historic Antiguo Casino in Old San Juan along with FGI’s collaboration are a perfect lead-in for Puerto Rico’s emergence into the global fashion industry.” 

A Weekend of Glamour and Elegance

The runway show was preceded by an intimate cocktail and dinner for select VIPs, press, and influencers on Thursday, December 12, at the luxurious 1919 restaurant at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel in San Juan. Among the attendees was Indira Cesarine, editor-in-chief of The Untitled Magazine, who donned a striking piece from Frederick Anderson’s collection.

Reflecting on her experience in Puerto Rico, Cesarine remarked, “Traveling to Puerto Rico for Frederick Anderson’s show was truly inspiring. The ambiance of Old San Juan, combined with Frederick’s visionary designs, created an unforgettable experience. The fusion of vibrant cultural influences with his modern design aesthetic was absolutely breathtaking. The Antiguo Casino provided a stunning setting, and the collection’s bold interplay of structure, movement, and color was beautifully presented with the backdrop of Puerto Rico’s unique charm and sophistication.”

Since founding his eponymous brand in 2017, Frederick Anderson has redefined modern womenswear with his signature fusion of artistic storytelling and impeccable craftsmanship.
