Since being featured in Major Lazer & DJ Snake’s 2015 hit, “Lean On,” MØ has been making waves in the music world. Now the Danish artist is back with her latest single, “Drum,” which debuted globally on October 7th. The brand new track was written by MØ herself in collaboration with Noonie Bao, BloodPop and Charli XCX, who was featured in The Untitled Magazine’s #GirlPower Issue. Of the track, the vocalist, producer, and singer/songwriter stated:
“Drum is about setting each other free. Whether it’s an old friend, a lover, a lifetime partner or even yourself, it’s about letting go in order to pursue your dreams, for better or worse. Sometimes we have to accept that we might not have a plan, but that we have to figure out our own shit – take the punches and get stronger – and the same goes for those we care about.” -MØ
This year has been busy for MØ. She recently performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, was spotted in Alexander Wang’s latest commercial, and again partnered up with Major Lazer for their hit song, “Cold Water,” which also features Justin Bieber. She is currently on a global tour which will begin its North American leg in November and includes a date at New York City venue, Terminal Five. Her second album is planned for release early next year.
