From the makers of Coachella comes New York’s very own version: Panorama. The new, three-day music festival set for July 22-24 plans to take over Randall’s Island with a setlist rivaling all other festivals. On just Friday alone, the festival will host Arcade Fire, Alabama Shakes, Major Lazer, FKA Twigs, and Silversun Pickups. On Saturday, festival goers can look forward to Kendrick Lamar, The National, and Melanie Martinez, who was recently featured in The Untitled Magazine’s #GirlPower Issue. On Sunday LCD Soundsystem, Sia and A$AP Rocky are sure to impress. While Coachella is sold out faster than you can click the buy button on the website, Panorama is still a possibility for those who can fork over the cash.

While Panorama is sure to be a weekend of unique festival style and incredible performances, it takes a bit of the bang away from Gov Ball, Randall’s Island’s first festival. Governor’s Ball debuted in 2011 and is set for June 3-5, a month prior to Panorama. In October 2015, Governor’s Ball began a petition asking Mayor Bill de Blasio to withhold Panorama’s entry into market. While the petition went unaddressed, Panorama stepped up to compete on the same grounds. Governor’s Ball, whose lineup was released in early January, will host Kanye West, The Strokes, and The Killers. While it’s too soon to determine if one music festival will reign supreme, it’s clear that Randall’s Island is set for a rocking summer.
