Festival ManiFeste, June 2 – July 2
This contemporary classical/experimental festival happens at IRCAM, Athénée Théâtre Louis-Jouvet, Gaîte Lyrique, and the Philharmonie de Paris. The lineup this year consists of Philippe Hurel, Pierre Boulez, Guy Cassiers, Georgina Spiropoulous, Alberto Posadas, and Michael Jarrell. Weather Festival, June 4 – 7
This festival screams house/techno/minimal, held at the Bois de Vincennes. The lineup includes Adventice, Cassy, Jeremy Underground, MCDE & Marcellus Pittman, Perbec, Ricardo Villalobos, S3A, Schwarzmann, Unforseen Alice, and Seven Davis Junior. Solidays Festival, June 26 – 28
Happening at Hippodrome de Longchamp, the Solidays Festival features pop, rock, electro, and French music. The line-up includes Asaf Avidan, Moriarty, Brigitte Caribou, Angus & Julia Stone, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Zoufris Maracas, Rone, The Avener, and more. Paris International Festival of Psychedelic Music, July 1 – 5
This rock garage, punk, and psych festival has a Woodstock-reminiscent ring to it. This will be happening at various venues, including La Machine du Moulin Rouge, Le Trianon, La Gâité Lyrique, Le Point Éphémère, and Le Monseigneur. This most well-known house, techno, and minimal festival will be happening at Parc Floral de Vicennes. This pop, rock, electro, French festival will be happening at L’Hôtel de Ville.
